Fuel Pilot Documentation

To log a fill-up, tap the + button on the Home Dashboard.

• Odometer: Enter current odometer kilometers. The app checks this reading against your last recorded odometer to prevent lower numbers.
• Bidirectional Cost/Volume: Enter either Total Cost or Litres. The app computes the counterpart value based on Unit Price.
• Full Tank Toggle: If you filled up the tank to full capacity, keep this enabled. This allows the mileage engine to compute consumption.
• Receipt & Notes: Optionally photograph or attach your receipt. The photo stays strictly in local device storage.

Fuel Pilot employs the industry standard full-to-full tank method for measuring true consumption:

Partial fill-ups are recorded and accounted for, but official consumption badges calculate between verified consecutive full-tank events to eliminate inaccuracies.

Navigate to Settings → Data Management inside Fuel Pilot:

• Export Backup (.fpb): Creates an encrypted/verified JSON payload containing all vehicle profiles and fuel records. You can save this file to Google Drive, SD Card, or another device.
• Restore Backup: Inspects any selected .fpb file, shows a preview of vehicle counts and entries, and restores data with automatic rollback if corruption is detected.
• Export CSV: Generates an RFC-4180 spreadsheet file compatible with Microsoft Excel, Apple Numbers, and Google Sheets.

Because Fuel Pilot operates with a 100% offline local SQLite database, AfriBa Labs has no remote access to your records. For full legal and technical disclosures, read our dedicated Fuel Pilot Privacy Policy.

You can delete your records at any time:

• Inside the app: Settings → Data Management → Clear All Local Data.
• From Android: Settings → Apps → Fuel Pilot → Storage → Clear Data.
• Uninstalling the app immediately destroys the local database.
