1. Local Offline Data Storage & Backups

All vehicle profiles (make, model, year, license plate, fuel type, tank capacity), refueling history, odometer readings, fuel costs, and notes are stored locally on your device in a sandboxed SQLite database (fuelpilot.sqlite).

Fuel Pilot provides user-controlled export and restore functionality (.fpb JSON portable backups and RFC-4180 CSV spreadsheets). When enabled by the user in Android device settings, system Auto Backup may preserve app preferences to the user's own Google Drive storage.

2. Personal Data We Do NOT Collect

AfriBa Labs does not collect, sell, or transmit any of the following personal information:

• Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or passwords.
• Financial account details, bank credentials, or payment card data.
• Real-time physical GPS location coordinates.
• Contacts, phone logs, or personal documents.
• Receipt photos (if attached, they remain solely in your device's local storage).

3. Third-Party Advertising (Google Mobile Ads / AdMob)

To maintain Fuel Pilot as a free mobile application, we integrate Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob). AdMob may process non-sensitive device identifiers (such as Google Advertising ID), approximate IP address, and app interaction telemetry to serve advertisements in compliance with Google Play Developer Policies.

4. User Consent & Privacy Controls (Google UMP)

In regions where required by law (including the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland under GDPR/UK-GDPR), Fuel Pilot integrates Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) SDK. This presents an explicit consent dialogue allowing users to accept or customize personalized vs. non-personalized advertising preferences.

5. Data Retention, Portability & Deletion

You maintain absolute control over all data created in Fuel Pilot:

• Export: You can export all records anytime via Settings → Data Management → Export CSV or Export Backup (.fpb).
• Deletion in App: You can permanently purge all vehicle profiles and fuel logs via Settings → Data Management → Clear All Local Data.
• Android System Reset: Clearing app storage under Android Settings → Apps → Fuel Pilot → Storage → Clear Data immediately destroys all local records.
• Uninstall: Uninstalling the application deletes all database tables and cached receipt files.

6. Children's Privacy

Fuel Pilot is an automotive utility designed for licensed drivers and vehicle owners aged 18 and older. It does not solicit or collect data from children under 13 years of age.

7. Security & Encryption

All external network interactions initiated by background SDKs (Google Play In-App Updates and Google AdMob) utilize transport-layer encryption (HTTPS/TLS).
